The service
GiveTrees is financial management software for nonprofits, currently in early access. Today the site offers product information, a demo environment with fictional data, and a waitlist. Features described on this site that are labeled coming soon are plans, not promises, and may change before launch.
Using GiveTrees
By joining the waitlist or using the site you agree to these terms. You agree to give us accurate information, to use the service only for lawful purposes connected to running an organization, and not to probe, disrupt, or misuse the service. When accounts launch, the administrator who connects an organization is responsible for having the authority to do so, including any approval their board requires.
What GiveTrees is not
GiveTrees is software, not a bank, an accountant, or a law firm. We do not hold your funds, we do not issue cards today, and nothing in the product is financial, legal, or tax advice. Reports the product generates are prepared from your data for your convenience, and your organization remains responsible for the accuracy of what it files or sends to funders.
Fees
The waitlist and early access are free. If paid plans launch, pricing will be published before anyone is charged and no plan will start charging without clear consent.
Disclaimers and limits
Early access software is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and we may change or pause features as we build. To the fullest extent the law allows, GiveTrees Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during early access is zero.
Ending use
You can leave the waitlist or stop using the service at any time. We may suspend access that violates these terms or threatens other users, and where practical we will tell you why.
The legal frame
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If a dispute arises we will both try good faith resolution first. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable the rest still applies.
